Our Top 10 Things to Do in Nashville

As an insurance agent who lives and works in Mt. Juliet, TN, I often get questions about what to do in Nashville. It’s only about a 20-minute drive away, so it’s a popular destination for locals and visitors alike. With so much to do in Music City, narrowing it down to a top 10 list can be tricky. But I’m up for the challenge! Here’s my list of the top 10 things to do in Nashville:


1. Visit the Grand Ole Opry: Nashville is the home of country music, so the Grand Ole Opry should be at the top of your list. This iconic venue has been hosting some of the biggest names in music since 1925. You can take a backstage tour or attend a live show featuring the biggest stars in country music.

2. Explore the Country Music Hall of Fame: For music lovers, visiting the Country Music Hall of Fame is a must. This museum offers a deep dive into the history of country music with interactive exhibits and artifacts.


3. Tour the Ryman Auditorium: The Ryman Auditorium is the former home of the Grand Ole Opry and a beloved Music City landmark. Today, it hosts a variety of events, from concerts to lectures. Take a tour and learn about the history of this iconic venue.


4. Explore Music Row: Music Row is the heart of Nashville’s music industry. Take a stroll and explore the area, where you can find the offices of some of the biggest music labels, recording studios, and more.


5. Visit the Parthenon: The Parthenon is a full-scale replica of the original in Athens, Greece. It houses a collection of 19th-century art and offers a great view of Nashville from its observation deck.


6. Take a ride on the Music City Star: The Music City Star is a commuter train that runs from Nashville to Lebanon, TN. It’s a great way to explore the city and its surrounding areas. It also happens to run directly by our office!
