Origin Story
In 1978, a young and determined Tina Hutsenpiller, a senior at Mt. Juliet High School, was working hard as a waitress at Cedar Creek Yacht Club. As the youngest of four in a single-parent household, Tina knew that college was out of reach financially. But destiny had other plans. One of the founding members of the yacht club, Mary Elizabeth Kelloway, recognized Tina’s potential and decided to take her under her wing. Mary not only secured Tina a job interview with a prestigious insurance agency in Nashville, TN, but also took her shopping at the Green Hills Mall, ensuring Tina had a professional wardrobe to match her bright future.
Tina landed the job on the very day she graduated from high school. She worked a half-day before proudly walking across the stage to receive her diploma that evening. From that moment, Tina’s journey in the insurance world took off. She worked with various agencies across the Nashville market, honing her skills and building her reputation. Eventually, she found herself at The Kneeland Agency in Berry Hill, an agency deeply rooted in the country music scene, insuring many of the industry's top executives and talents.
By 1992, Tina decided it was time to prioritize her family and cut down on commuting. With that bold decision, Hutsenpiller Insurance was born. But her connection to The Kneeland Agency didn’t end there. In 2008, Hutsenpiller Insurance proudly acquired The Kneeland Agency, cementing its place in the Nashville insurance landscape. Many of the Kneeland Agency customers are still clients to this day.
Today, Hutsenpiller Insurance stands as a pillar of the insurance marketplace in Tennessee, particularly in the Nashville area. With an unwavering commitment to exceptional customer service, the agency has garnered numerous accolades, including:

This transition marked a significant milestone in the family legacy. Under CJ's leadership, the agency continues to thrive, maintaining its reputation for excellence in the Tennessee insurance market.
With the sale of the agency, Tina Hutsenpiller stepped into a well-deserved retirement.
